Where: The Summit at Snoqualmie: Alpental
Who can participate: Open to ALL students.
When: 6 consecutive Fridays beginning on January 6th, 2012. The first 5 Fridays will include lessons, while the final Friday will be a day of free ski and fun!
Registration: Is now open through December 16st.
Program Details:
• ALL students are required to participate in ski/board lessons. Upon registration, a skill level is specified and the Summit at Snoqualmie Ski School organizes the kids into appropriate classes. If changes are required, the ski school coordinators will work with the OLF team to insure all kids are in the proper class.
• ALL students are required to purchase a Summit at Snoqualmie ski/board pass. Summit at Snoqualmie offers a discounted pass that can be utilized not only for the lessons, but also the rest of winter at the Summit at Snoqualmie Ski Areas. Passes can be purchased on-line during the registration process.
• Ski lessons are held each of the first 5 Fridays from 5:15 PM to 7:15 PM
Ski Bus Details:
(Optional but open to ALL)
• The ski bus departs from OLF at 3:30 PM following school each Friday and departs from Alpental at 9:15PM for a return to OLF at approximately 10:30- 10:45 PM.
• Following ski lessons, all students are required to check in with his/her chaperone prior to free ski until 9:00 PM. During free ski, students MUST ski with a buddy at ALL times. Students are not to go on any lift they did not ski on during lessons.
• All students younger than 4th grade must be accompanied by a parent. Parents riding the bus with the kids are welcome to ski or just ride the bus and hang out in the lodge while the kids ski.
• A parent for each ski bus participant is required to chaperone for at least one week. Chaperones are welcome to ski but not required to ski. They assist the kids in getting ready, checking in after lessons and onto the bus to return home.
