All information about the audition process as well as materials for auditioning are included below. Please feel free to use other material if you have something else prepared. It is best to have your monologue memorized and to sing with an accompaniment. It is very easy to get off key and lost when singing a capella. Please come prepared and well rehearsed to help make the audition process as relaxing as possible. Check out http://www.mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000197 to hear excerpts from the show.
Please let me know if you need any help whatsoever.
Attached is the more difficult Part 2 for those that have their white or orange belt. The fingerings for the new notes can be found in the back of the recorder karate book which is attached in a previous blog post.
Below is a link to the logos that Mr. Frederick's class created. Please vote and make comments about the one logo that is your favorite. Please refer to them by number. For example: I like #2 because the green background makes the text stand out. I also like the choice of font. As he mentions the comments and votes will not be visible to protect the voting process.
Below is the booklet that we will be using to learn to play the recorder. Student are not required but are encouraged to purchase a recorder to practice the songs and skills at home.
