The final project will be a creative project based on part of the book. With your final project, you will write a paragraph explaining your final project, where it is from in the book and why you chose to do this project.

After completing the video about the Hawaiian Islands, Strangers in Paradise:

a. Complete the adaptations chart in your journal

b. Write a 1 page report about one of the organisms from the video, its adaptation and how that adaptation provedes the organism with a survival advantage.

Due Monday, March 26:

2-3 paragraph reflection about the science project. Typed, double spaced.

Some questions you could answer as part of your reflection are:

-what did you learn

-what part did you like the best or least

-what part of your project are you most proud of

-what would you do differently if you did this same project over again

-what will you remember for the next science project you complete

Today in class we were planning on having some time to work on our REACH projects. We will have time next week to work in class on our projects. Bring any pictures, printed items or other materials to class on Monday so we can work on our projects next week.

We missed out computer lab work time today at school. So if there is anything you need to print out for REACH, please print at home and bring to school on Friday. Or, save any pictures to your google docs and you can print at school on Friday.

Remember that if you want me to review your REACH interview and give you feedback, you need to get your interview to me by Thursday, January 19th. You can email me a copy of your interview, or email me a note letting me know that I should look at in on Google Docs.
