The 2nd quadrant of Freak the Mighty is due tomorrow, Thursday, May 17th.

The first personal book needs to be read by Friday, May 18th. The Formal Reflection is due Monday, May 21st.

By the end of the school year, 2 books need to be completed with a Formal Reflection Frame written for each book. You may turn in each Reflection Frame as you finish the book.

Both essays are due by June 5th. They can be handed in as they are finished.

The final 3 paragraph essay on Children of the Dust Bowl is due today. It can also be turned in tomorrow morning (Saturday) by 9 am at my classroom door in a ziplock bag.

This week we are working on the final for the assigned reading book. The first 2 paragraphs are to be completed by

Friday, April 20th.

The 3rd paragraph will probably be due on Wednesday, April 25th.

Finish reading the 4th quadrant of the assigned book by Monday, April 16th.

The 2nd quadrant of Children of the Dust Bowl will be due at the end of class Monday, April 2nd.

The 3rd quadrant of your assigned book will be due at the end of class on Tuesday, April 3rd.

These plans could change if there are conflicts with the class schedule due to Holy Week.

The second quadrant essay of your book is due Tuesday, March 27th.

Finish the paper on visualization and analogies if you didn't finish in class.

Until further notice, there will not be a written assignment on books being read at home. Students are writing essays on 2 books - one, the class read-aloud and two - an assigned book - and I feel that is enough.

The summary of the first quadrant of the "at-home" book is due Friday, March 9th. (This is a change from the original due date.) Please leave it in the baskets in my classroom or by the door - White basket for white group; black basket for blue group.

Journal entry on reading done at home is due tomorrow. This is to be written in the "old" composition book.
