Our Lady of Fatima Parish School is the Catholic elementary school in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood. Admissions priority is given to active OLF parishioners, but families of all faiths are welcome to apply.

General Information

Welcome to Our Lady of Fatima Parish School, Home of the Falcons!

A few quick facts about our school:

  • With typically around 285 students, our school is comprised of one class per grade, Preschool through 8th.
  • Classroom hours are 8:30am-3:15pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 8:30am-2:15pm on Wednesday.
  • We offer both half-day and full-day Preschool (3-year-olds) and Pre-Kindergarten (4-year-olds) with several schedule options available.
  • In Preschool through 5th Grade, each classroom is led by a homeroom teacher and a full-time aide. 6th-8th Grade students are taught by our middle school team.
  • Students attend specialist classes in art, computer science, library, music, physical education, and Spanish, and we offer additional support in reading and math.
  • We have a school counselor on staff.
  • We offer Extended Care until 6:00pm to our students in Preschool-3rd Grade on days when school is in session full day (space permitting and for an additional fee). Extended Care is not available during school breaks, faculty in-service days, or on early dismissal days. EXTENDED CARE IS FULL WITH A WAITLIST FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR.

2024-2025 Admissions

We are no longer accepting applications for the current, 2024-2025 school year. If your child is already in our 2024-2025 waitpool, we will notify should a space become available. If not, you will need to re-apply for subsequent school years as applications do not roll over from one year to the next.

2025-2026 Admissions

  • 2025-2026 applications for all grades, Preschool through 8th Grade, are due by no later than Sunday, December 15, 2024 (don’t forget to click the submit button at the end of the application). You will receive an email confirming receipt of your child’s application.
  • Applications are considered complete when ALL applicable checklist items have been submitted. These documents must be received by December 15, 2024, with the exception of transcripts and teacher recommendation forms for transfer applicants (Grades 1-8), which may be uploaded by the child’s school/teacher following the conclusion of their current school term (due no later than January 31, 2025).
  • Those who cannot be accommodated must subsequently re-apply for admission for the following year as applications do not roll over from one year to the next.

  • Please note that all school parents/guardians are required to volunteer each year. The annual family commitment requirement minimum is 30 (K-8 families) or 15 (Preschool/Pre-K only families) volunteer hours annually at the school/parish. Click on the Volunteering button above for details.

2025-2026 PRESCHOOL Information Night

Thank you to all the prospective parents who joined us for our 2025-2026 Preschool Information Night on November 13! Due to our full enrollment, we will not be holding an information night for other grades this year.

Due to our full enrollment, we will not be offering general tours for the 2025-2026 admissions season. If space opens up and an applicant is being considered for admission, we will contact the parents/guardians to schedule an interview and tour!

Learn About Tuition Rates, Annual Fees & Financial Aid

Our tuition rates and annual fees for the 2024-2025 school year can be found under Tuition, Fees & Financial Aid for reference. Tuition rates and annual fee amounts for the 2025-2026 school year will be published in March 2025.

Financial aid is available through the Fulcrum Tuition Assistance Grant Program to all families currently enrolled or applying for the next school year in any Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Seattle. In addition, Our Lady of Fatima Parish School offers additional support for active parish families through a school direct aid program. Kindergarten-8th grade students can apply for the Fulcrum Grant and for the school direct aid program. For both programs, a family must apply each year by completing the FACTS Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment. All awards are made based on financial need. Click on the button below for more details. Please note, only students in Kindergarten-8th Grade will be considered for financial aid.

The financial aid application for the coming school year opens annually on October 1 and is due from prospective families by December 31.

Click the button below to be directed to our Admissions and Enrollment Portal, Finalsite, to create or log in to your account and submit an application for your child to be considered for admission for the 2025-2026 school year.

step two: COMPLETE THE APPLICATION CHECKLIST

After you have submitted the online application, please refer to your child’s Application Checklist within your Finalsite portal account for additional items to be uploaded or requested from your child’s current school:

  • Application Fee: $100 per student, due with application and refundable only if an applicant is waitpooled or otherwise not accepted by Our Lady of Fatima Parish School.
  • Birth Certificate: Required for all applicants.
  • Baptismal Certificate: Required if Roman Catholic, both for applicants baptized at Our Lady of Fatima Parish and elsewhere, and requested if non-Catholic (if applicable).
  • Records Release Form: Required for transfer applicants (Grades 1-8) only.
  • Confidential School Report / Transcript Request Form: Required for transfer applicants (Grades 1-8) only.
  • Kindergarten/Teacher Recommendation Form: Required for kindergarten applicants/transfer applicants (Grades 1-8), respectively.

Applications are considered complete when ALL applicable checklist items have been submitted.

3 – Important Dates & Deadlines / ADMISSIONS DECISIONS TIMING

Important dates & deadlines

Fall

  • November: Preschool Information Night – November 13, 2024, 6:00pm, in the school library for parents of children turning 3 years of age by August 31, 2025.
  • December 15: Online application form due for all grades (Preschool through 8th Grade).
  • December 15: ALL applicable checklist items for Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten due to be uploaded in Finalsite application checklist.
  • December 15: ALL applicable checklist items for Transfer Applicants (Grades 1-8) due to be uploaded in Finalsite application checklist with the exception of transcripts and teacher recommendation forms, which may be uploaded by the child’s school/teacher following the conclusion of their current school term.
  • December 31: Financial aid applications due.

WINTER

  • Early January: Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten admissions reviews begin.
  • January-March: Family interviews including the prospective student (required) pending class space availability.
  • Mid-January: Kindergarten Readiness Screenings by appointment. A non-refundable screening fee of $75 will be due on the date of the appointment.
  • End of January: Admissions determinations finalized for Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten and tuition deposits due.
  • January 31: Transcripts and teacher recommendation forms for Transfer Applicants (Grades 1-8) due to be uploaded in Finalsite application checklist by current school/teacher.
  • February: Transfer admissions reviews begin in February pending class space availability.

SPRING & SUMMER

  • End of March: Transfer admissions determinations finalized and tuition deposits due.
  • August: New Parent Orientation for accepted families.

Admissions Decisions timING

  • Admissions determinations for Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten are finalized at the end of January.
  • Transfer admissions reviews begin in February pending class space availability and are finalized after re-registration of current students in late March.
  • If the grade for which your child is applying is full, the applicant will be placed in our waitpool for the duration of the school year for which they applied, and the application fee will be refunded (if applicable). Those who cannot be accommodated must subsequently re-apply for admission for the following year.
  • Mid-year withdrawals will be filled from the waitpool based on our order of admission. Please refer to the Early Learning, Kindergarten, and Transfer Admissions pages for details.

Please Note: Priority is given to ACTIVE MEMBERS of Our Lady of Fatima Parish (Seattle, WA) and available spots are filled based on our order of admission, not by order of application. Please refer to the Early Learning, Kindergarten, and Transfer Admissions pages for details. Following acceptance, you will be contacted by our New Family Welcome Committee about important upcoming events. You will also be matched with a current school family who will be your guides during your first year at OLF.

The curriculum continues to prioritize moral and ethical development, with an emphasis on critical thinking, leadership skills, and service to others rooted in Catholic teachings.
