Why did you become an educator?
I became an educator because I felt a calling at a young age. I believe there is no greater gift than to be able to be a part of the learning journey of children. I am constantly inspired by children and learn so much from them. I want to create a safe learning environment for my students, where they feel inspired and encouraged to discover a passion for learning. What is your favorite quote?
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” -Ralph Waldo EmersonWhat is your favorite book?
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. The first time I read this book, I was a student at Our Lady of Fatima and we read it as a class. I’ve loved it ever since! It’s a wonderful story about life’s important lessons.
What I like most about teaching at OLF is…
My favorite thing about teaching at OLF is getting to return to a very familiar and wonderful community that I have been lucky enough to be a part of throughout the years. I had such an incredible experience at OLF as a student and am so excited to be back here as a teacher, where I get to be a part of this journey with the students!
Outside of school, I enjoy…
Traveling, hiking, spending time with family and friends, reading, playing sports, and cooking!
