What is your favorite quote?
“To laugh often and love much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” -“On Success,” attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson

What is your favorite book?
Little Women was my favorite book growing up, and reading it again now as a mother of two girls, I appreciate it even more for the traditional parental wisdom and the special relationships between mother and daughter and between sisters. On vacation a few years ago, our family visited The Orchard House, Louisa May Alcott’s former home in Concord, Massachusetts, and the setting of Little Women. It was like walking into the book. We even saw the desk at which she wrote it.

What I like most about OLF?
I love that our community is like a big family. Everyone knows each other and looks out for one another. I tell all our prospective families this is a special place to be!

Outside of school, I enjoy…
Spending time with family and friends, attending my children’s activities, volunteering, traveling, walking/hiking, skiing/snowboarding, reading, and watching Husky sports (I am a Dawg by marriage).
